Our saunas include your choice of either an electric harvia 8KW heater – or – exterior feed classic wood burning stove. if you want to learn more about the options or would like to discuss which is right for you – simply give us a call.

the best material for saunas has been an ongoing question. however, the answer is clear – cedar is supreme. other wood types can be used to save money – but quality is largely compromised. See the comparison below to discover the differences;
Cedar: Cedar is known for its durability and sustainability. It’s less likely to decay or rot and is considered the most energy-efficient. the aroma is also unmatched. a true sauna experience overall – Surely the best wood for barrel saunas.
Nordic spruce: These light spruce wood barrel saunas are easy on the eyes. The aromas typically aren’t too fragrant. However, you may notice more knots in the wood or that it seeps sap. once a spruce sauna begins to decay, rot, or sap a sauna session is no longer recommended as respiratory Harm can occur.
Pine: These pine wood barrel saunas typically have the lowest price but come with the most problems. They’re not as durable. The aesthetic is relative, but most people don’t find Pine barrel saunas very nice. they tend to rot the quickest, and are very prone to damage with mild winter weather conditions.
